What Do the Blue Potions Do in Wormateio
Blue Potion,( OoT | MM | TWW | TMC | TP | ALBW ) [1] also known as Medicine of Life and Magic,( ALttP ) [1] and Cure-All Medecine,( ALttP ) [2] [note 1] is a recurring Potion in The Legend of Zelda series, commonly used to instantly restore both Link's Life Gauge and Magic Meter. Typically, it is known as a "cure-all" Potion that is effective in recovering many to all of Link's Hearts in addition to restoring his Magic when present in the game.[3] Furthermore, the Potion has been noted to be easy for Link to consume.[4]
Location and Uses
Inception and Original Usage
Prior to the Potions, the earlier games in the series had introduced Water of Life. In The Legend of Zelda, the blue Water of Life could purchased by various Old Women after receiving the Letter from an Old Man in a cave in northeast Hyrule, and then showing it to them. Once the Letter is delivered, the blue and red Water of Life will become available for Link to purchase, costing 40 and 68 Rupees, respectively. However, unlike later versions of the Blue Potion that could replenish both Magic and health, it was merely a one time use health Potion, due to Magic not existing in the game. Potions debuted in A Link to the Past, which was also the first game where the Medicine of Life and Magic was used to restore both health and Magic. Just like Red and Green Potions, Link needs an Empty Bottle to store the Potion.
In OoT a Odd Mushroom can be recieved from the Master Craftman's Son, this is part of the Biggoron's Sword Trading Quest. Once Granny has recieved the Odd Mushroom she will begin to sell Blue Potions. They will be sold for 100 Rupees. It will heal 8 hearts and refill your Magic Meter.
In Majora's Mask, Link can either purchase a Bottle of Blue Potion from the Ikana Canyon Business Scrub for 100 Rupees, or give a Magic Mushroom to Kotake at the Magic Hags' Potion Shop, who will then use it to create Blue Potions and sell them for 60 Rupees each. They also cure the Curse that Blue Bubbles inflict.
In The Wind Waker, there are three ways to obtain the Blue Potion. The first is to collect four Boko Baba Seeds from defeating Boko Babas and then giving them to Hollo, who will mix a Blue Potion for Link. The second way is to collect 15 Blue Chu Jellies from Blue Chuchus and trade them to Doc Bandam on Windfall Island. He will use them to make a Blue Potion and give Link the first sample for free, and from then on will have it for sale at 60 Rupees. The third is to throw All-Purpose Bait in front of a Rat home (the hole on the wall that they run out of). The Rat may then sell you a Blue Potion for 80 Rupees.
As a Health Restorer Only
Blue Potions in The Minish Cap restore up to eight Hearts only.
In Twilight Princess, Blue Potions can be obtained by defeating a Blue Chu and scooping its Chu Jelly into an Empty Bottle. The blue jelly of a Blue Chu acts like a Red Potion, restoring all Hearts. Blue Potions can also be bought from the Goron's son in Kakariko Village, the shop in the City in the Sky, or from Malo Mart in Hyrule Castle. Blue Potions only restore Hearts, as the Magic Meter does not appear in Twilight Princess.
In A Link Between Worlds, the Blue Potion completely restores all of Link's Hearts, making it the most powerful health-restoring Potion in the game. It can be bought from the Witch's House for 200 Rupees and ten Monster Tails.
